Abstract
This article analyzes the strategic role and significance of the Central Bank in ensuring the stability and security of the country's payment systems. The research places particular emphasis on the priority tasks established by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding the assurance of payment transparency, acceleration of digitalization, and the eradication of the shadow economy. The article highlights the regulatory, supervisory, and operational functions of the Central Bank based on current legislation. Furthermore, it presents statistical data and graphical analysis concerning the development of payment infrastructure (bank cards, terminals, mobile applications) in recent years, while also evaluating contemporary trends in the digital financial market and cybersecurity mechanisms.
