Abstract

The food industry occupies a special place in the system of industrial sectors due to its direct connection with population welfare, food security, and sustainable economic development. This article examines the distinctive features of the development of the food industry within the activities of industrial sectors. Particular attention is paid to the sector’s dependence on agricultural raw materials, sensitivity to market demand, seasonality of production, and the need to ensure product quality and safety standards. The study also analyzes the role of technological modernization, innovation, and investment in increasing production efficiency and competitiveness of food industry enterprises. In addition, the importance of state regulation, infrastructure development, and integration with other industrial sectors is highlighted. Based on the analysis, conclusions are drawn on the strategic significance of the food industry in ensuring stable industrial growth and strengthening national food security.
