Abstract

Industrial enterprises play a vital role in ensuring sustainable economic growth, technological development, and national competitiveness. The effectiveness of their management depends not only on internal organizational factors but also on the institutional environment in which they operate. Institutional mechanisms, including legal regulations, corporate governance structures, state policies, financial institutions, and market infrastructure, significantly influence the performance and long-term sustainability of industrial enterprises. Despite ongoing reforms in many developing economies, industrial enterprises continue to face numerous operational challenges such as outdated technologies, limited access to finance, weak innovation capacity, insufficient managerial competencies, bureaucratic barriers, and increasing global competition. This article analyzes the institutional characteristics of industrial enterprise management, examines the major operational problems affecting enterprise efficiency, and proposes strategic directions for improving institutional mechanisms to enhance competitiveness and sustainable industrial development.
