Abstract
Digital technological innovation has become a decisive force in the transformation of supply chains across the United Kingdom and China. Both nations have adopted digital tools that reshape decision making, coordination, and accountability. Their pathways differ, yet each reveal how artificial intelligence, automation, the Internet of Things, blockchain, and cloud computing influence resilience, sustainability, and competitiveness. This article examines these dynamics through academic research, industry analysis, and government publications. It explores how digitalisation changes supply chain behaviour, how national strategies shape adoption, and how the United Kingdom and China illustrate two distinct approaches to digital maturity. The analysis offers a clear understanding of how digital technologies redefine supply chain structure and purpose in two influential economies.
