Abstract
This article studies the theoretical and methodological aspects of an integrated assessment of the effectiveness of state regulation of the sustainable development of the tourism sector. It is based on the need to combine organizational, economic, institutional, social and environmental indicators that characterize the effectiveness of state regulation into a single assessment system. An improved algorithm for forming an integrated index is proposed by selecting, normalizing, grouping and aggregating indicators based on weight coefficients. This approach allows for a comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of state regulation, identifying its strengths and weaknesses, and substantiating management decisions aimed at the sustainable development of tourism.
