Abstract
This article examines the evolution of theoretical views on the formation of an inclusive economy. The key approaches of the classical and neoclassical schools of economics are analyzed. The role of institutionalism in ensuring equal economic opportunities is examined. The importance of human capital for inclusive development is substantiated. The content of Amartya Sen’s capability approach is discussed. The relationship between economic growth, employment, and population welfare is analyzed. The main structural elements of the modern inclusive economy are identified. Recommendations for developing an inclusive economy in Uzbekistan are proposed.
