Abstract

This research aims to clarify the nature of the relationship between Organizational Embeddedness as an independent variable and perseverance behavior as a respondent variable in the Babylon Health Directorate. The research problem stems from a relative decline in the level of perseverance among some employees, despite the administration's efforts to enhance organizational performance. Furthermore, there is a scarcity of studies that have addressed the relationship between these two variables in the Iraqi healthcare environment. The research is significant both theoretically, by contributing to bridging a knowledge gap concerning the mechanisms by which Organizational Embeddedness influences perseverance behavior, and practically, by providing decision-makers with practical indicators to enhance employee retention and increase their perseverance levels, which will positively impact the quality of healthcare services. The research employed a descriptive-analytical methodology, (340) questionnaires were distributed, of which (328) were returned, and (326) were valid for analysis, representing a response rate of (94.95%). The data were analyzed using SPSS v.28 and AMOS v.26 software. The research revealed a knowledge gap in explaining the nature of the relationship between the two research variables within the Babylon Health Directorate. The study also concluded that there is a significant positive direct effect of organizational stability on persistence behavior, as well as a significant positive effect of the dimensions of Organizational Embeddedness on persistence behavior.
