Abstract

This article examines the role and significance of linguoculturology in modern linguistics, with particular attention to the relationship between language and culture. Linguoculturology is an interdisciplinary field that investigates how cultural values, traditions, beliefs, historical experience, and national identity are reflected and transmitted through language. The study analyzes the theoretical foundations of linguoculturology and considers its contribution to the interpretation of culturally marked linguistic units, including phraseological expressions, metaphors, symbols, concepts, proverbs, and culturally specific vocabulary. Particular emphasis is placed on the importance of linguocultural analysis for understanding the conceptual worldview of different speech communities and identifying similarities and differences between languages and cultures. The research demonstrates that language functions not only as a means of communication but also as a repository of collective cultural knowledge and social experience. The findings highlight the practical significance of linguoculturology for intercultural communication, foreign-language teaching, translation, lexicography, and comparative linguistic studies.
