Abstract
The article examines the formation and evolutionary development of the concept of regional strategic management in the context of contemporary economic transformations. The theoretical foundations underlying the transition from traditional territorial planning to results-oriented, adaptive, and differentiated strategic management are systematized. Particular attention is given to the role of digital transformation, institutional changes, interregional disparities, economic resilience, and the efficient utilization of resource potential within the regional strategic management framework. The study substantiates conceptual directions for advancing regional strategic management as an integrated system that ensures effective coordination between a region’s endogenous potential, external economic changes, and targeted development outcomes.
