Abstract

A wide variety of characteristics and attributes of jobs are analyzed and evaluated before being performed during construction, and many of these are routinely done using Building Information Modeling (BIM). The use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) helps stakeholders like property owners, engineers, designers and contractors create a common ground for reviewing all elements, analyzing attributes and assessing the overall effectiveness of changes and adjustments before work begins.
Questionnaires were carried out in both conceptual and construction phases with specialists, owners, and their expectations related to Building Information Modeling (BIM) after conducting a thorough understanding of the basic concerns of the owners with regard to cost, time, and quality over the life cycle of the project. The comments by the researcher were marked accordingly. Finally, the factors that have been identified, which stem from the questionnaires and their contexts, are analysed and examined. This study could have an impact on the making choices field from project owners' perspective where the elements that were found during this study can be studied. It's intended to help owners decide if they should consider Building Information Modeling (BIM) in projects.
