Abstract
This article presents a statistical analysis of labor-related proverbs in English and Uzbek languages and examines their frequency of use from a comparative linguistic perspective. The study explores the semantic and cultural characteristics of labor proverbs and identifies their role in reflecting national values, beliefs, and attitudes toward work. Quantitative and qualitative methods are employed to determine the distribution and usage patterns of labor-related proverbs in both languages. The findings reveal that labor occupies a significant place in the proverb systems of English and Uzbek and serves as an important cultural concept. The research also highlights similarities and differences in the representation of labor within the two linguistic communities. The results contribute to the development of comparative linguistics, paremiology, and linguocultural studies.
