Abstract

This article presents a theoretical and analytical study of the single-cycle deformation process of textile materials under external mechanical action. The mechanical state of the fabric is primarily determined by the interaction between warp and weft yarns, the degree of yarn crimp, friction, inter-yarn slippage, and the viscoelastic properties of the fibrous material. Hysteresis arises during the single-cycle deformation process due to the difference in force-deformation relationships between the loading and unloading stages. The article provides analytical expressions for determining relative deformation, mechanical stress, deformation energy, residual deformation, and hysteresis energy.
