Abstract

Objective: This article examines the role of digital educational technologies in the development of professional and pedagogical competencies of future teachers. Method: The study explores the impact of digital platforms, electronic learning resources, distance learning systems, artificial intelligence tools, and interactive technologies on the professional training of future educators. Particular attention is paid to the development of students’ independent learning skills, critical and creative thinking abilities, communicative competence, and pedagogical reflection within a digital learning environment. Results: The findings indicate that digital educational technologies serve as an effective means of enhancing professional competence and improving the quality of teacher education. Furthermore, the article identifies key directions for integrating digital technologies into pedagogical higher education institutions and provides scientific and methodological recommendations for their effective implementation. The results emphasize the importance of creating a digitally enriched educational environment that supports the professional growth and lifelong learning capacities of future teachers. Novelty: The ongoing digital transformation of education requires prospective teachers not only to possess strong subject knowledge but also to effectively utilize information and communication technologies, design digital learning resources, and implement innovative pedagogical approaches in educational practice.
